“This place feels like a million pound home, but it’s a lot less,” Millie says at the beginning of the tour, setting the vibe for a property that defies expectations. With five bedrooms, a generous driveway, and over 2,000 square feet of internal space, the house presents itself as expansive and attainable. Its crisp white render, contrasted by a timber-clad bay and a statement black front door, creates a confident first impression that gives a contemporary and an enduring feeling. “This feels like a proper forever home,” she adds, hinting at the at the design's defining mix between desire and reality.

An Introduction Framed by Design

Stepping inside, the entrance hall delivers what Millie describes as “a bit of a wow moment.” A linear lighting feature draws the eye through the corridor, while a black staircase with a glass balustrade introduces a refined architectural edge. The house opens up clearly, showing glimpses of the open-plan living area beyond, along with a study, a formal lounge, and important first-floor features. The layout is both legible and inviting, designed to orientate and impress in equal measure.

Open-Plan Living

Beyond glass double doors, the main living space reveals itself as the heart of the home, a generous kitchen, dining, and lounge area measuring over 21 by 18 feet. “It’s a great size, and there’s also so much natural light,” Millie notes, pointing to the oriel-style window and rear bifold doors that frame the space. The layout allows for multiple zones, from dining to relaxed seating, without compromising flow, making it equally suited to daily life and entertaining.

A Kitchen Balancing Function and Finish

The kitchen is a masterclass in clean, modern detailing. “It feels very clean, very sleek and modern. Lots of clean lines,” Millie remarks, highlighting the quartz worktops with waterfall edges and the flawless integration of appliances, including a built-in coffee machine. LED strip lighting adds depth, while soft-close cabinetry highlights quality. At its centre, a substantial island anchors the room, designed not only for cooking but for gathering, dining, and socialising, with dual seating options and an inset extractor maintaining visual clarity.

A Garden Designed for Ease and Entertaining

The landscaped rear garden extends the home’s living space outdoors with a composition that prioritises simplicity and usability. “This is actually a pretty decent size… very clean, very manageable, and perfect for hosting,” Millie explains. An AstroTurf lawn, paved patio, and distinctive stone detailing create a low-maintenance space that still feels well-thought-out, and the back elevation gives a striking view of the home's architectural shape.

Flexible Living and Everyday Functionality

Back inside, the ground floor reveals a series of adaptable spaces that respond to modern living. A cosy seating area off the kitchen is anchored by an electric fireplace, while a separate formal lounge provides a more peaceful space. The study offers flexibility as a home office, playroom, or snug, and a well-finished utility room mirrors the kitchen’s material palette for continuity. Even the downstairs cloakroom is elevated through thoughtful detailing, with Millie noting how “it’s those small features that really separate this from a standard new build.”

Bedrooms Shaped by Versatility

The first floor accommodates four bedrooms, each demonstrating flexibility in use. “There are so many different options and so many different things you could do to this room,” Millie says of one space currently styled as a snug. From children’s rooms to guest suites, each bedroom benefits from strong natural light and considered storage, with several enjoying ensuite or Jack and Jill bathrooms.

A Principal Suite with a Boutique Hotel Feel

Occupying the entire top floor, the principal suite stands apart as a private haven. “This entire top floor is just one bedroom, and it’s absolutely huge,” Millie says, capturing the scale of the suite. Despite its size, the space remains intimate, with defined zones for sleeping, dressing, and relaxing, all enhanced by natural light from roof lights and rear windows.

The ensuite elevates the experience further, with layered materials, a freestanding bath with integrated television, and dual basins creating what Millie describes as “more like a hotel spa.”

A Lifestyle Offering Beyond Expectation

While the home’s design and specification speak for themselves, its broader appeal lies in what it represents. “It’s pretty incredible how much you can actually get,” Millie reflects, returning to the idea of value that frames the entire tour. Set away from Central London, the home offers a more comfortable and spacious lifestyle, while still seeming like a feasible option in today’s market.
